Living Life Fully’s Daily Pick-Me-Up

The Daily Pick-Me-Up is a companion to my other website, Living Life Fully, which has been online for nearly ten years now.  With the advent of blogging, it seemed to be a natural next step to create a more dynamic page to reflect the things that I notice and learn about life each day, rather than trying to express it all on a website that now consists of over 1,000 pages.  Usually I get the feeling that many of the writings on the site get a bit lost.  On this page, though, it will be much more difficult for anything to be lost, as they’re categorized in a much more limited manner.  There’s so much to learn and to say, and so little time to do it in!

My name is Tom Walsh, and I teach English at high school after some fifteen years of teaching college.  I ended up with this change by just letting life carry me where it would–I never had any intention of teaching high school before I got my current position, but I’m enjoying the experience immensely.  While there are some difficulties involved in such work, the rewards far outweigh the problems, and I’m very glad to be where I am.  I also enjoy running and learning, especially about life, life philosophies, and approaches to life that help us to be happier, more fulfilled individuals.
